Welcome to the memorial page for

Autie "Luke" Lucas Ferguson

December 15, 1964 ~ August 25, 2017 (age 52) 52 Years Old

Autie Lucas “Luke” Ferguson, 52, Wabash, Indiana, moved on to form a new band in Heaven on Friday, August 25, 2017.

Born December 15, 1964, in Mount Gilead, Ohio, he was the son of Autie Lee and Ruth Webb Ferguson.  On June 11, 2011, Luke married his soulmate, Angela Isaac Ferguson.

Those remaining to carry on his memory include his wife, Angela Ferguson, Wabash; five beautiful children, his son, Tyler (Cassidy) Ferguson, Ft. Drum, NY; and daughters, Bethany (Shane Roberson) Isaac, Muncie; Amanda (Charles) Fryar, Ft. Wayne; Jenna (Marie Baxter) Ferguson, Mountain Dale, NY; and Jordan Jones, Wabash; six beautiful grandchildren, Leanna Leche Fryar, Alexia Marie Metheny, Jacob Lee Mann, Eve Jolene Ferguson, Skylar Lee Roberson, and Elijah Lucas Fryar; brothers, Ambrus (Rae) Ferguson, Peru; Mark (Trudi Martin) Ferguson, Peru; sister, Frances (Larry) Royce, Marion; brother-in-law, Gary Smith; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Those who have gone on before him include his parents; son, Robert Allen Jones; and a sister, Princess Jean Smith.

Luke served in the Navy and was an LPN at several facilities.  He was an avid fisherman, but those who knew him, knew his passion was playing guitar.  Luke was a founding member of the band These Final Hours with Mike Layne, Brandon Bucher, Don Fishback, Charles Shafer, and Barry Meeks.  Luke also played guitar for the band Midlife Crisis with Charlie Hawkins, Dennis Allen, Stan Cassel, Eric Vielee, and Mike Arwood.  To Luke, they were more than just bands…they were family.

Luke had the biggest heart and was an extremely loving, caring, and considerate person.   Those who got to know, love, and grow with him were lucky, and their lives were made better by having that opportunity.

To honor Luke’s wishes, cremation arrangements have been made with no funeral or memorial service.  Instead, Luke requested a remembrance party in his honor to be set at a later date.  Please feel free to contact his family for further details.

The Ferguson family would like to thank Parkview Oncology, Wabash; Parkview Hospice, Wabash; and the Wellbrooke of Wabash family for their kindness and support during the last few months.

“Dear Luke, You are with Jean and Robert now, go catch the big bass and crappie and continue to play your music loud and proud and teach Robert everything you know.  We love you!”
