I read about the recent death of Jessie (it happened way too soon) and I know Phil, Sandy and the Davenport family and loved ones have saddened hearts today. So I wanted to share this beautiful scripture where our heavenly father, Jehovah, (Psalm 83:18), promises us that he is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Lupus is so hard on everyone however, God's word at Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. It is my prayer this scripture will give you comfort in your grief. I briefly had the pleasure of Jessie's friendship at Good Sam's in Arthur ND. She had an infectious smile and up beat personality that lifted the spirits of everyone around her. Her humor and laughter will be missed. My condolences to her family for their loss. May you always remember the good times you had with Jessie. Elissa Berndt

I want to extend my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Jessie. Look back with
happy memories on the time you shared with this young lady. Revelation 21:3,4
points to the time when sickness and death will be no more. I hope this promise is
as encouraging to those who loved her as it is to me. I hope it provides comfort and hope for her family and friends.

Dear Family,
We're sad to hear of the loss of Jessie. Our last conversation years ago was indeed good news of her overcoming battles reflecting the very grace of God. It was good that she shared. Jessie was going into high school when we came to First Presbyterian Church, Rochester, IN. She was full of much to share and determined to press on in her church youth activities. She was indeed an inspiration. God bless all your memories of her.

Lois [my mom] was a resident of Elim for several weeks while Jessie was there. They spoke on the phone frequently and mom had sent Jessie a birthday card this past week not realizing she had passed away. Jessie was always upbeat and interesting to talk too. Everyone at Elim were proud of the progress she made while there. Our sympathy goes out to her entire family and friends! Cyd and Lois Gullickson

Phil, I'm so sorry to hear about Jessie's passing. I am praying for you especially and all of your family. She is home now and nothing can harm her ever again, just like my Alison. Even though we will miss them and will live the rest of our earthly journey with broken hearts, their journey is complete and they have won the victory. God bless!

I met Jessie when she was a resident at Elim Care Center. She always had so much energy and enthusiasm. She took pride in showing me her room whenever my mother and I strolled past. I lost contact with her when she moved out of Elim but ran into her at a local grocery store where she was ringing a bell for the Salvation Army during Christmas. The world has lost a wonderful and kind person. Rest in peace, Jessie. My sincere condolences to her family.
