Mary Alcesta Dailey Kietzman, 93, Mexico, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:30 p.m. on May 18, 2019, at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru.
She was born to Effa Mae Orpurt Dailey and Charles Marvin Dailey of Peru on July 2, 1925, and graduated in 1943 from Peru High School. She worked at Bell Telephone as an operator on the Bunker Hill Naval Base during the post war years and later at Essex Wire Peru where she met her future husband. She married William C. Kietzman on November 9, 1952, and she remained with him until his passing on September 12, 2005. She was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church, Peru and volunteered at Dukes Memorial Hospital as a Pink Lady from 1976 until 2014.
She is survived by two sons, Tim B Kietzman, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Todd W. Kietzman, and wife Patsy, Evansville, Indiana; grandson, Chad R.Kietzman, and wife Ashley, with great grandchildren Harper and Harrison in Henderson Kentucky; and grandson, Justin K. Kietzman, Evansville Indiana. Also surviving are nieces, Kathryn Troyer-Clugston, Janice Mitchell, and Diana Mohr; and nephews, Steve Dailey, and James Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Dailey and one sister, Doris Huston.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Steve Quinlan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, prior to the service.
