Candace Marie (Powell) Girton

Candace Marie Girton, 29, Kewanna, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, as the result of a motor vehicle accident, west of Denver, Indiana.  

Born March 25, 1991, in Garland, Texas, she was the daughter of Boyd Wayne Powell and the former Lesia DeAnn Jones.

She graduated from Caston High School in 2009 and was a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple.  She was a fun outgoing person who loved life and spending time with her family and friends. 

Survivors include one daughter, Isabella Marie-Dell Girton, Kewanna; parents, Lesia D. and Mark E. Gardner, Kewanna; father and stepmother, Boyd and Marty Powell, Richardson, Texas; one brother, Timothy Scott (Brittney) Powell, Kokomo; and one sister, Amanda Slone, Ohio; one nephew, Rylan Powell, Kokomo; and one step-sister, Rachael Murrell along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, in both Texas and Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bobby and Dolores Jones, and Don and Joyce Gardner.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the Fulton Baptist Temple with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating.  For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed online through a link on her obituary page at www.mcclainfh.com, where you may also leave a condolence for the family or make a memorial contribution to assist with final expenses. 

Visitation will be from Noon-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Fulton Baptist Temple, prior to the service.  Masks will be required for those in attendance.
