Curtis Edward Moreland

Curtis Edward Moreland, 49, Kokomo, passed away on Monday morning, February 7, 2022.

Born October 30, 1972, in Rapid City, South Dakota, he was the son of John Edward and Karen May (Yeager) Moreland.  On October 19, 2019, in Muncie, Indiana, he was married to the former Heather Leann Davis.

He was a 1991 graduate of North Miami High School and received his B.S. in Computer Science from Indiana University Kokomo.  He worked for Micro Precision in Kokomo and was a member of Abundant Life Church in Kokomo.  He was an avid Ohio State Football fan, and Cincinnati Bengals and Reds fan.  He enjoyed playing video games, exploring caves, and watching sprint car racing.  He loved old cars and could fix almost anything.  

Survivors include his wife, Heather Moreland, Kokomo; parents, John and Karen Moreland, Mexico; children, Matt E. (Bethany) Moreland, Kokomo; Jessica E. Stanley, Peru; Kristina M. (Garrett) Miller, Kokomo; Dylan C. Katsimpalis, Kokomo; and Caleb S. Katsimpalis, Kokomo; four grandchildren, Madalynn, Brycen, Mavryck, Wilder, all of Kokomo; and two brothers, Jonathan Moreland, Mexico; and Nathan Moreland, Bloomington; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one son, Joshua Curtis Moreland; and sister, Jennifer Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Caleb Baldwin officiating.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.

Visitation will be from 3-7:00 on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the funeral home.
