George Ellis Musselman, 76, Denver, Indiana, passed away at 12:48 a.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne.
Born December 28, 1946, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Gaylord E. and Mary Anna “Anne” (Huddleston) Musselman. On February 11, 1977, at his parents’ home, near Denver, he was married to Barbara Ann Bontrager.
He was a 1964 graduate of North Miami High School and then attended International Business College in Ft. Wayne where he studied accounting. For many years he was a farmer in the North Miami community and had also worked at Square D in Peru and Gulf Stream in Nappanee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, mushroom hunting, and anything that took him outside. He was also a veteran of the United States Army Reserves.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Musselman, Denver; son, Jake Musselman, Kokomo; one brother, Bruce K. (Carla) Musselman, Denver; one sister, Susan M. (Mike) Morris, Macy; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Matthew Ellis Musselman.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Shane Capps officiating.
A time of visitation will follow the service from 4-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to C.C.’s Closet, Inc, which furnishes free clothing, and necessary items for the underprivileged and foster children of Miami County.
