Harold Edwin Russell

Harold Edwin Russell, 92, Peru, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2020, at his residence. 

Born August 10, 1927, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Clifford E. Russell and the former Eva B. Graff.  On June 20, 1954, he was married to Ingeborg Margareta Elizabeth Russell, and she preceded him in death on April 30, 2013.

He was retired from the United States Air Force, serving in Korea, where he spent much time flying on planes as an on-board navigator.  He attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Peru.  He had also worked for many years at GenCorp in Wabash and at the unemployment office in Peru.  

Survivors include his children, Linda Callewaert, Arizona; Ludwig Carl Roland (wife, Carla) Russell, Chili; Harold Andre Russell, Peru; Kimberly Susan Diane Russell, Peru; and Tamara Ingeborg Russell, Peru, and one granddaughter, Savannah Crystal Russell. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, Ed Platter, and one brother, Robert Carl Russell.

A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date, following the Coronavirus Pandemic.
