JC Stamper

JC Stamper, 65, Macy, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Born July 25, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Chester Arthur and the Lora (Williams) Stamper.  On September 25, 2008, in Peru, Indiana, he was married to the former Deanna L. Butler.

He was employed by Waste Management of Kokomo, Indiana.  He loved traveling, working with his hands, and riding motorcycles, and he was a member of ABATE of Indiana.  Among his favorite pastimes were spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  

Survivors include his wife, Deanna L. Stamper, Macy; five children, Lisa Brousseau, Peru; Brandy Stamper, Peru; JC Stamper, Jr. Smith (companion, Kayla Slagal), Warsaw; Jennifer Miles (companion, Russell Carrick), Bluffton; Michael Smith, Peru; ten grandchildren, Liam (Cheyenne) Brousseau, Denver; Adrian Berry, Peru; Khymberlee Jackson, Peru; Lexi Carrick, Peru; Hannah Miles, Bluffton; Staci Slagal, Warsaw; Lilian Carrick, Bluffton; Evan Carrick, Bluffton; Sophia Smith, Warsaw; and Lydia Carrick, Bluffton; and one great-grandson, Lukas Brousseau, Denver; three brothers, Jimmy (Diane) Stamper, Kentucky; James (Tammy) Stamper, Washington, Indiana; and David Stamper, Kentucky; one sister, Shawn Stamper, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Scott (Bridget) Butler, Denver; and Mark (Jennifer) Butler, Denver; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Grady Williams, Jerry Stamper, and Arthur Stamper; and one granddaughter, Lyanna Rutledge.

A time of visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana.  Services will begin immediately following the visitation, Pastor Eric Alwine will officiate.
