Merlin D. Brown

Merlin Dale Brown, 62, Denver, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne. 

Born December 2, 1956, In Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Ralph Dale and Inalee D. Metzger Brown.  

Merlin graduated from North Miami High School in Denver, Indiana, in 1976.  He had worked at various places in Miami and Wabash counties.  He loved listening to music and going to concerts.  He loved the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

Survivors include three siblings, Monica S. (Mark) Lowe, Twelve  Mile; Martin H. (Shawn) Brown, Wabash; Melody L. (David) Yocum, Denver; nieces and nephews, Ashley and Tyler Lowe, Twelve Mile; Tony Brown, Milwaukee, WI; Joey (Kayla) Brown, Kingsport, TN; Austin (Rachel) Brown, Indianapolis; Drew (Ashley) Yocum, Palm Harbor, FL; Damon (Jennie) Yocum, Kokomo; Dylan Yocum, Denver; Allison (Andrew) Myers, Denver; and several great-nieces and nephews.  Also surviving is his beloved cat, Snow.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Mexico Church of the Brethren, Mexico, with Pastor Wayne Balmer officiating.  Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Denver. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scratching Post Cat Rescue, Inc.
