Michael Leon Elliott

Michael Leon Elliott, 55, Ober, Indiana, passed away at 3:21 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Kindred Hospital North, Indianapolis.

Born May 4, 1965, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Leon and Tanya Kay (Lewis) Elliott.  On October 6, 2020, in Orange Beach, Alabama, he was married to Linda Jo (Smith) Gochenour, and she survives.

Mike graduated from North Miami High School in 1983.  He was a truck driver for Ryder Logistics.  He proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army Airborne Division.  He enjoyed fishing and kayaking.  

Survivors include his wife Linda Jo Elliott, Ober; mother, Tanya Elliott, Macy; three daughters, Clarissa Gentry, Ft. Wayne; Whitley (Christopher) Williams, Rochester; Emily Elliott, Rochester; one sister, Valerie Elliott, Peru; one brother, Kevin Elliott, Carmel; two step-daughters, Brittany (Pat) Brandenburg, Rochester; and Kylie (Cody) Mathewson, Mishawaka; six grandchildren, Brylee Elliott, Bahyla Vanderwall, Breidon Vanderwall, Zander Williams, Aubriella Williams, and Ty Brandenburg; one nephew, Zane Lemon, Peru; and one niece, Rachel Lemon, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Elliott.

Military Rites will be observed at a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Westlawn Cemetery, Denver.  

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana.  Visitors are asked to follow State COVID – 19 Guidelines, including wearing mask, social distancing, and a minimum allowed of visitors in the facility.
