Patricia Louise “Wheezie” Coffing, 75, Monticello, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her residence.

Born October 11, 1948, in Peru, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ralph Emmerson and Betty Louise (Richardson) Opple.

She grew up as a member of the Denver First Brethren Church, and she was a 1966 graduate of North Miami High School.  For several years, she worked as a caregiver at both Wynnfield Crossing, Rochester, and CDC Services in Monticello where she managed a group home.  She loved to read, play cards, and spend time in the kitchen baking and cooking.

Survivors include her two children, Rod Coffing, Burnettsville; Tonya (Kyle) O’Farrell; two grandchildren, Katelyn (Mason) Fischer, Pittsboro, IN: and Ryan O’Farrell, Delphi; two sisters, Sonja (Larry) Miller, Perrysburg; and Jolynn (Gary) Troyer, Macy; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong best friend, Gaylo Goss, Rochester.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Opple; mother, Betty Teel; stepfather, Joe Teel; niece, Debbie Cornelison; and great-nephew, Trevon Patrick Browning.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
