Obituary

Rosemary DeBoer Costner, 81, Peru, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Blair Ridge, Peru, Indiana.

Born August 12, 1942, in South Holland, Illinois, she was the daughter of Jake DeBoer and Tracy Diepen DeBoer. She was married to Eli Moffitt Costner, Jr., and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1991.

Growing up she shared her childhood with her siblings, Betty (Schupe), Patricia, Diane, and David.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting, and drinking hot tea. 

Survivors include her only daughter, Deanna Weiss (fiancé, Doug Twomey), Peru; four grandchildren, Kamren Costner (fiancé, Katie North), Kristian Costner, Landen Costner, and Laine Costner; great-grandsons, James Costner and Zayne Costner; one sister, Pat Anderson, Colorado; and brother, David DeBoer, Shelbyville, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Diana Pierce and Betty Schupe.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, Indiana.
