Obituary
Stephen J. VanDalsen 78, Garrett, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at his home.
He was born on August 3, 1944 in Macy, Indiana the son of Kenny and Betty (McCarter) VanDalsen.
He retired from CSX Railroad after forty-two years. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, playing cards and telling stories.
Survivors include his children, SJ (Robin) VanDalsen, Denver, Indiana, Stacy (Matt) Molner, Bennington, Vermont, Shilo VanDalsen, Auburn, Indiana, Mark (Georgia) Lefevbre, Macy, Indiana, Alec Lefevbre, Macy, Indiana, sister, Debbie VanDalsen (Richard) Carver, seventeen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Thursday, August 3, 2023 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery, Macy, Indiana.
