Marie C. Southerton, 83, Fulton, Indiana, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Friday morning, August 7, 2015, at her residence.

Born April 9, 1932, in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Martha Wray Gust.  On March 17, 1959, in Logansport, Indiana, she was married to Garland E. Southerton, and he passed away on March 29, 2007.

She attended Logansport High School.  She enjoyed painting, reading, working puzzles, and especially being around her family and friends, and always had a fond appreciation for Hershey bars.  She loved to read her Bible, and when she was able, she enjoyed attending Twelve Mile United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Diana Middleton and companion Gene Fouts, Denver; Kathy Overholser and husband Steve; Fulton, Marty Turnipseed, Carlisle, Kentucky; and Jennie Moran, Rochester; one stepson, Larry Southerton, Bunker Hill; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Steve McDonald, one stepson, Gary Southerton, and one grandson, Tom McDonald.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Darlene DeHaai officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Five Corners Cemetery, Macy.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
